The source of the DEC_SITE mapping dataset is the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC), Anchorage, AK. The datasets were created from an ADEC database delivery during early 1997. There are 1668 sites in this ARC/INFO GIS dataset. An update to the contaminated sites database was received from ADEC in January 1998 but is not currently included as part of the GIS database.
